Esther Kane
Divisional Director - Head of Rural
Esther is Head of Howden's Rural division and CLA Insurance. Esther has worked in the Rural Insurance sector for over 16 years plus a further 7 previous years as a personal lines Motor and Household Underwriter.

Ian is responsible for client services in the South region. Ian has over 20 years’ experience in providing insurance for historic houses and the rural community. This experience gives Ian the knowledge to provide bespoke and innovative solutions to his clients.
South West and Wales
Stephen Kenyon
Regional Director for Wales
Stephen has built a successful career in the Rural Insurance Industry and thoroughly enjoys establishing strong relationships with his clients. Having worked closely with both the Defra Rural Payments Agency and Welsh Governments RPW Online, he has a deep understanding of the pressure and stresses facing both the farming and estate communities throughout Wales & West of England.
Jeremy has over 30 years’ insurance underwriting and broking experience. Jeremy is based in the Cotswolds and he looks after all areas of rural businesses, with particular expertise in country houses, farms, and estates in the South West, Midlands and Wales.
Chris has many years’ experience across the Farming / Commercial Insurance sector and a strong professional background in Rural Property and Country Homes. He enjoys meeting new members, learning about them and their place of work and putting his experience to good use. Chris grew up on an arable farm before training in Town & Countryside Planning, he enjoys many sporting and rural pursuits.
North & Scotland
Lindsey-Anne is based in our Yorkshire office and oversees client services for Northern England. Having joined us in 2023 from NFU Mutual, she has a strong background in the many aspects of rural insurance, working to support all of our clients existing and new.
Liam is an integral member of the Northern team specialising in Farms, Estates and Agricultural Fleet business.
Rory is the Regional Director for Scotland, looking after an experienced team of advisors, offering expert advice for all types of rural business.
Freddie provides insurance for a wide range of farms, estates, businesses, and private clients. Having originally practiced as rural chartered surveyor, Freddie now brings his broking and surveying knowledge and understating together to deliver effective insurance, advice and support to his clients.
James is based in our Perth office, concentrating on farms and estates across Scotland. James was a Commissioned Army Officer and is a Director of the Perth Show.

Alison is a primary part of the New Enquiries team and has over 25 years of Customer Service experience, both face to face and on the telephone. Alison will handle your initial contact and ensure your enquiry is passed to the broker most able to help you.
